CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia judge's group wedding ceremony on Valentine's Day drew eight couples this year.
Seven couples were newlyweds. One couple who wed during an earlier group ceremony renewed their vows.
Media outlets report that Harrison County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Bedell held the ceremony at noon Friday. Following the ceremony, Bedell told the couples, "The verdict is love."
Bedell holds a group wedding ceremony whenever Valentine's Day falls on a weekday. The next ceremony won't be held until Feb. 14, 2017, because Valentine's Day falls on Saturday in 2015 and on Sunday in 2016.
