By Staff | Aug 31, 2012

First Friday Coffeehouse will kickoff a seventh season on Sept. 7 with The Big Open Mic fundraiser at Trinity Orchard House on Route 45, four miles from the four-way stop in Shepherdstown. Doors open for social time and sign-up at 7:30 p.m. All open mic participants should be there early to get a slot to perform three to five songs at one of the area`s premier listening rooms

Subsequent First Friday Coffeehouses will have a feature performer chosen from nationally-touring roots/acoustic artists, preceded by a one hour open mic. The venue is well-known for the quality of its open mics. Performers representing a wide variety of roots genres come from the Eastern Panhandle as well as Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.

First Friday Coffeehouse is a not-for-profit venture in partnership with Trinity United Methodist Church in Martinsburg. All proceeds go to feature artists and to help pay operating expenses.

Enjoy a great evening of music and fellowship. Snacks and refreshments served. Trinity Orchard House is located at 4599 Shepherdstown Road. A $5 – $10 donation per person is requested.
