Soup-er Duper!

By Staff | Dec 7, 2012

Trinity Episcopal Church was voted the “Top Chef” in the “Coming Home Soup Fest” that was held the evening of Nov. 11 as part of the conclusion of Shepherdstown’s 250th Anniversary celebrations.

The soup that won the award for the Church was a Chicken Corn Chowder. It was selected as the best soup by 29, or nearly 40 percent, of the 75 people who voted.

Church members who worked on the soup project received an award certificate from 250th Anniversary Chair Meredith Wait on Dec. 1.

The award presentation is shown in the accompanying photo taken on the steps of Trinity Church. On the bottom row, Cathy Baker, who coordinated the soup project for the Church, is on the left and Ms. Wait is on the right. Also shown, from left to right, are Sue Lane and Jenny Hollis in the second row; Emily Baker, Bonnie Austin, and Mark Hollis in the third row; and Bill Simmons at the top.
