Benefit fundraiser slated for Corbin

By Staff | Dec 14, 2012

The Friends of Leeds Corbin have set Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. for an event to raise funds for Leeds Corbin, a local resident, who was hurt in an accident earlier this fall. Corbin, the maintenance director at Jefferson County Parks and Recreation, fell while trimming a tree and faces serious medical challenges as he continues physical therapy in Philadelphia, Pa.

The benefit, organized by friends of Corbin, will raise money to help the family with medical expenses as well as other needs while Corbin works toward recovery.

Join in for a night of socializing, fun, food and activities. There will be door prizes, corn hole, basketball, music, tip jars and raffle items with all proceeds going directly to the Corbin family. The event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Ranson Civic Center.

For those who wish to make a monetary donation, send to the Leeds Corbin Fund, c/o Bank of Charles Town, P.O. Box 906, Charles Town, WV 25414.
