Free Clinic offers drop off for unused meds

February 1, 2013
Shepherdstown Chronicle

The Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic, 1212 N. Mildred St., Ranson, is now a drop-off point for those looking for a location to rid themselves of unused and unwanted prescription medications. Participating in the West Virginia Consumer Drug Return Partnership, the clinic takes the expired, unused or unwanted medications and disposes of them properly.

Individuals are encouraged not to simply throw away or flush the unused medications down a toilet as their entry into the environment could cause health problems.

Note that the clinic is unable to accept narcotics or controlled substances.

For more information, contact the clinic at 304-724-6091.
