The Grascals, a six-piece bluegrass band from Nashville, Tenn., with regular performances at the Grand Ole Opry, will be on stage at the Shepherdstown Opera House on Thursday, April 4. Doors open at 7 p.m. with showtime at 8.
Similar to the sound of the Osborne Brothers who made "Rocky Top" famous. The Grascals are among the most beloved and acclaimed bands on today's bluegrass scene, having won SPBGMA's Bluegrass Band of the Year award in 2010, its Instrumental Group of the Year three years in a row (2011, 2012, 2013), the International Bluegrass Music Association's Emerging Artist of the Year award in 2005 and earning its Entertainer of the Year honor in both 2006 and 2007.

Pazton received a 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy during the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards. He was nominated for a Grammy for Comedians and Angels in 2007, and Live in the U.K. in 2006. He was also nominated for Grammy awards in 2003 for his Appleseed Records CD, Looking For The Moon, and in 2002 for his children's CD, Your Shoes, My Shoes. He has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from ASCAP, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the BBC in London.
