Possible Abduction Attempt

This morning, Friday, May 10 2013, at about 9:10 a.m., a female reported a possible abduction attempt in Shepherdstown, WV. The victim stated that she was jogging and a white work van drove past her a couple of times during the course of her run. While in the 200 block of West German Street, the van pulled beside her and the driver, a white male, 50-55 YOA, with a short gray beard, thin build, and wearing a white tee shirt made several verbal attempts to get her to get into the van with him. After repeatedly refusing his requests, the subject drove off westbound on route 45 towards Martinsburg. The van is described as a white work van, no windows, with a partial Maryland registration of 98700.
