Duo starting music school

May 24, 2013
Toni Milbourne - Chronicle Editor , Shepherdstown Chronicle

Sam Jannotta and Cam Millar are joining forces to open the Shepherdstown School of Music. The school will be housed at the St. Agnes Church Parish Hall at 106 S. Duke Street.

The school, Jannotta said, will offer classes beginning in August; however, registrations are currently being accepted. The school will offer diverse classes in every area from piano to drums, horns to strings.

Prior to official August lessons, the school also has plans for two weeks of summer camp for local musicians ages 8-18.

The Rock and Jazz Summer Camp will be held from July 8-18, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Camp attendees may choose to attend both weeks of the camp at a cost of $150 or attend one week only for $85. Following the camp instruction, Jannotta said the campers will offer a musical performance for parents and guests.

For more information on the music school, including rates and schedules for fall lessons, or for more information about the Rock and Jazz Camp in July, contact Jannotta via telephone at 304-268-8870 or email at samjannotta@gmail.com.
