Samantha Yates of Shepherdstown has been an outstanding president of the Jefferson High School Key Club for the 2012-13 year. In recognition of her leadership and enthusiasm, the club designated her as a Walter Zeller Fellow of Kiwanis International. She led the club in donating more than $1,250 to the Kiwanis International Foundation for the Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus around the world. The $1,250 for a Zeller can save or protect more than 690 women and their future babies from MNT.
