Storied Evenings return

Storied Evenings of Music, Art & Tales are presented at the Historic Shepherdstown Presbyterian Meeting House, 100 W. Washington St., Shepherdstown. The free programs, followed by desserts, are on three consecutive Wednesdays and begin at 7:30 p.m. Each story is “Who and What Made Me Who and What I Am.”

The schedule of speakers and special music is: July 10: Dabney Chapman, a true statesman, with music by John Thomas on saxophone; July 17: Erwin Asam, founder of The Bavarian Inn, with music by the jazz quartet of Dr. Mark Cook, Dr. Kurtis Adams, plus guests; and July 24: Monica Lockett, administrator at Canterbury Center, with music by Peri Duo-Melissa Huempfner, flute, Kari Edge, piano. Sculptural masks by artist Jimmy Hanback will be exhibited in the Fellowship Hall for the entire month of July.
