Twenty-one artisans celebrate summer and handmade during the Over the Mountain Studio Tour's annual Summer Show & Sale at the War Memorial Building, downtown Shepherdstown, July 5, 6 and 7. The tour members invite you to join in the celebratory Opening Gala on Friday, July 5, 5-7 p.m, where one can experience their freshest work, plus a bit of conversation amidst live music, snacks and drinks. Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7, the festivities will continue. Whether between theater performances or during a regular Farmers Market trip, stop in to say hello and catch a glimpse of the wares of the artisans of the annual autumn Studio Tour.
All tour members will be represented, including pottery, basketry, stained glass, furniture, jewelry, fabric arts, paintings, drawings, hand hewn bowls, needle artistry, wearable art, polymer clay, cabinetry and printmaking.
"The Summer Preview Show gives the artisans of the tour a reason to gather under one roof for a weekend and have a great time together. We want to share the genuine sense of enjoyment and connection with the larger community, from the Farmers Market visitors and Contemporary American Theater Festival-goers to the locals strolling down the sidewalk," said Joy Bridy, wood fired potter and fifth year tour member.
