Fargo Insurance Group, Inc. is proud to host its fourth annual Bras for a Cause for the entire month of October. In 2010, Fargo Insurance recognized an opportunity to have a creative impact on funding the fight against cancer on a local level. Since the inception of Bras for a Cause, Fargo Insurance has donated more than $7,000 to cancer research.
Individuals are asked to drop of bras at any local Fargo Insurance location. Bras are accepted at four of the five Fargo Insurance branches in Martinsubrg, Ranson, Hedgesville and Annandale. Drop bras off and enter to win an iPad. For each bra donated to the cause, Fargo will donate $1 to the local Relay for Life events of Jefferson and Berkeley counties and Shepherd University in an effort to support the research on finding a cure for the disease. In previous years, the money was donated to Susan G. Komen and most recently, to the local Relay for Life events, as it will be this year.
Bras donated to the cause can be in any condition. Those in moderate to excellent condition will be donated to a local women's shelter. Those in poor condition will be disposed of appropriately.
Fargo has set a goal of 1,000 bras. For more information, contact Marshall DeMerritt at 304-267-4915.
