Horowicz presents ‘Tales Of Three Brothers: Capturing The Spirit Of Shepherdstown In The Early Years’

Local historian Robbye Horowicz will speak on the topic “Tales of Three Brothers: Capturing the Spirit of Shepherdstown in the Early Years” on Thursday Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Entler Hotel, 129 East German Street, Shepherdstown. The event is part of the 2013 Historic Shepherdstown Speaker Series and the final of three talks presented by Horowicz. The event is free and open to the public.

Ms Horowicz, who serves as a docent at the Historic Shepherdstown Museum, will draw upon her extensive research in diaries and letters of the Bedinger family to describe the life and times of Shepherdstown’s George Michael Bedinger and his brothers Henry and Daniel during the era of the American Revolution.

The Historic Shepherdstown Commission works to preserve and promote Shepherdstown’s two and a half centuries of history. The Commission provides stewardship for the landmark Entler Hotel, which houses the Historic Shepherdstown Museum.
