Shepherd hosts annual holiday gala concert

The Shepherd University Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Camerata Singers, Men’s Choir, and Concert Choir will perform at the Friends of Music Annual Holiday Gala concert Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and in a family matinee performance Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Frank Center.

Sunday’s matinee also includes a sing-a-long led by Dr. Rob Tudor, chair of the music department at ShepherdUniversity, an instrument “petting zoo” for all ages and Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance.

The gala is narrated by Tudor and is sponsored by Bowles Rice Attorneys at Law.

General admission for Saturday’s concert is $20; $18 for faculty, staff, seniors 65 and older and military; $10 for 18 and under, and free for Shepherd students with Rambler ID. Special pricing for Sunday’s matinee is $15 general admission; $10 for faculty, staff, seniors 65 and older, and military; $5 for 18 and under; and free for Shepherd students with Rambler ID and children 5 and under accompanied by an adult. Seating is limited.
