Larry Warren Thomas, 60, of Kearneysville, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born Dec. 20, 1952, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Marvin Thomas and Dorothy Rowland Thomas.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Larry played on the all-tournament team for Shepherdstown High School in 1970. He threw a one-hitter in a semi-final, which led them to the final. They were a single A school that beat double A and triple A schools to win the state championship. He lettered all four years in both baseball and football.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Thomas, at home; daughter, Shelly Parker; son, Matthew Thomas, of Kearneysville; two brothers, Gary Thomas and wife, Debby, of Shepherdstown and Kenny Thomas and wife, Laurie, of Charles Town; one sister, Charlotte Staubs and husband, Gary, of Harpers Ferry; and two grandchildren.
Services will be private.
