Shepherdstown Chronicle

The public is invited to the Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg to an exhibit of works by the Berkeley Art Works teachers and the class work of their students from the past year of Berkeley Arts Council art classes.

Teaching artists planning to exhibit include Mary Klotz (Watercolor), Judith Becker (Colored Pencils), Hilda Eiber (Pottery) and Jean Kellogg (Acrylics and Sketching).

The exhibit runs Jan. 9-19 and there will be a Meet the Artists Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 5-7 p.m. at the Art Works. Members of the public will have the opportunity to talk with the Teaching Artists about the classes. Gallery hours Thursday-Saturday 12-5 p.m., Sunday 12-3 p.m.

New classes are currently being formed and begin Jan. 13. Details and online registration are available at artworks.berkeleyartswv.org/instruction/. Information is available from berkeleyartswv@gmail.com or 304-620-7277.

The Berkeley Art Works, a service of the Berkeley Arts Council, is the realization of the long-held dream of the arts community in Martinsburg and Berkeley County: to have a community-based arts facility that supports local and regional artists, brings quality arts experiences for the members of the public, and provides a wide range of arts learning experiences for local residents, artists and artisans.
