Bowls roll In Shepherdstown

August 29, 2014
Shepherdstown Chronicle

Polish up those little iron and steel cannon balls, better known in local circles as the Irish Road Bowl, and head for Shepherdstown on Sunday Sept. 7 by 1 p.m. to register for the last event in the Eastern Panhandle this year.

Get a team together to bowl the Trough Road. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. Gather friends, neighbors and families for a fun day playing in the road. For those who have never played, come out and have a try. It's a competitive sport, it's a family sport, it's just a good gathering of friendly people having a good time and just may be lucky enough to go home with a trophy or a medal. First and second place prizes for the winning four-person teams. Come and join the fun, the game is free. For any further information. please contact Mary Wolfe at 304-258-4958 or e-mail at mwolfe4@frontier.com
