William Sturgis Everhart,

William Sturgis Everhart, of Kuala Lumur, Malaysia, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.

Born Oct. 13, 1946, in Cheverly, Maryland, he was the son of Herbert William and Virginia Sturgis Everhart.

He was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School and Shepherd College with a B.S. degree in Business. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, graduating from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. Most of his Army career was spent in Berlin, Germany. He held the post of Justice of the Peace for the Middleway District, prior to entering management in the plastics manufacturing industry. Everhart managed plastics firms in Ohio, Tennessee and finally in Malaysia.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Virginia Everhart Koonce; a brother, Herbert Johnson Everhart; niece, Jennifer Everhart King; and nephews, Bryan VanMetre Jr. and H.S. Leigh Koonce; two great-nephews, Quenton and Jordan King; and great-niece, Jada King.

There will be no visitation and interment will be private.
