Lap Babies and Ones meets Tuesdays from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Time for Toddlers is on Tuesdays from 11:15 to noon. The After School Program for ages 5 through 12 is held Wednesdays from 4 to 4:45. Thursdays from 11:15 to noon is the Threes, Fours, and Fives program.
Mar. 7: At 11 a.m. there will be a special story time for ages three and older to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. This free program in the Shepherdstown Library’s Children’s Department will include Dr. Seuss stories, activities, and a craft with Miss Christy. Mar. 27: The Friends of the Shepherdstown Library (FOSL) Book Club will discuss Five Days at Memorial by Sheri Fink at 4 p.m. in the Library.

The Shepherdstown Museum, at the corner of German and Princess streets, is open on weekends from April through October, on July 4, and during Christmas in Shepherdstown. Public hours are: Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Visits can be arranged at other times by calling 304-876-0910 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Mid Atlantic Branch of the Second Indianhead Division Association will have its annual reunion in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on May 1 – 3, 2015 at the Continental Inn. All veterans of the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division are invited, in particular those in the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The Trinity Thrift Shop, at 104 S. Church Street in Shepherdstown, is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Beginning throughout the rest of March, the Shop will be having its bi-annual clothing bag sale all clothing that can fit in a grocery bag will be sold for $5 per bag! All other items in the Shop are half price (shoes, jewelry, books, movies, toys, kitchen and other house wares, prints, knick knacks). Proceeds from sales are given to community charities. The Shop also accepts donations of clothing, books, jewelry, and many other items. It also collects used eye glasses on behalf of the Lion’s Club. The Thrift Shop cannot accept furniture or other large items and electronics due to limited space. Contributions may be delivered to the screened-in back porch at any time. Crystal Bowl Concert, 6, 6-6:40 p.m. Ann Craig performs an extraordinary “sound meditation” using eight quartz crystal bowls that fill the Harmony studio with an energetic yet peaceful vibration that soothes and aligns mind, body and soul. Dharma Yoga Level 2, noon-1:30 p.m. Harmony yoga instructor Gena Rockwell will offer donation-based Dharma Yoga (levels 2 and 3) classes at the Harmony, located at 211 E. New St., Shepherdstown, on Saturdays at noon. The next Saturday class is a Level 2, suitable for intermediate students, at least one year of yoga experience is required. Good Shepherd Caregivers (GSIVC) will host their 15th annual Potter’s Bowl Event with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. at the Shepherdstown Fire Hall. The cost of this event is $30 for adults and $5 for children through 12 years old.
Crystal Yin Workshop, 1-3 p.m. Ann Craig & Turi Nevin-Turkel guide participants through an incredible & unique healing practice, suitable for all bodies and ages. Turi is a Yin yoga teacher who will teach yin postures to help balance body/mind systems during the spring season. Ann will offer the gift of sound healing, sharing the bliss of the crystal bowls as they bring forth sound and vibration to soothe and align mind, body and soul. The Jefferson County Council on Aging will host their Annual March for Meals Pancake Breakfast on at JCCOA- 103 West 5th Avenue, Ranson from 7-9 a.m. The menu will consist of pancakes, sausage links, biscuits/gravy, fried potatoes, baked apples and juice/coffee. The cost for the event is $3 for seniors 60 & up; $4 for those 59 & under. Carry-outs are available so stop by before heading to work for a hot, delicious breakfast! Breakfast will be provided by Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

A Journey Inward: Yoga and Journaling, 7-8:30 p.m. (Note time Change). Holly Williford, a writer and yoga teacher in Berkeley and Jefferson counties, will host a donation-based workshop-A Journey Inward: Yoga and Journaling-at the Harmony, 211 E. New St.Yoga and journaling are both ways to travel inward to explore the most important thing you’ll ever discover: who you really are. Yoga in itself is by definition the uniting of the inner self with outward actions, but first you need to find out who you truly are to do so. This workshop will be divided into three parts: a guided meditation, gentle movements (asana), and guided writing. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Bring a pen and paper/notebook. Do not forget to bring an open mind as well! Writing surfaces, chairs, cushions, mats and all other tools will be provided. Donations gratefully accepted.
Free Group Hypnosis For Healing, 6:45-7:30 p.m Michelle DeStefano, certified consulting hypnotist, will conduct group-hypnosis sessions designed to promote healing on a body-mind-spirit level. This is a 45-minute session where she will guide participants to activate their subconscious mind to promote healing and a healthy sense of well-being. The sessions will continue the last Friday of each month beginning Feb. 27 through April 24 from 6 to 6:45 pm. Donations accepted gratefully, but not necessary. The Civil War Trust (CWT) is sponsoring a cleanup day for all Civil War National Parks. While not yet a part of a National Park, the site of the 1862 Battle of Shepherdstown has been included in the CWT sponsored cleanup day. Restorative Yoga Bliss Workshop [Rescheduled due to Snow Cancellation-Again], 1-3 p.m. Harmony Healing Arts Center, located at 211 E. New St., Shepherdstown, will host a two-hour Restorative Yoga Bliss Workshop complete with hot stones and essential oils to release muscle tension and relax even more deeply.
