The Shepherdstown Museum, at the corner of German and Princess streets, is open on weekends from April through October, on July 4, and during Christmas in Shepherdstown. Public hours are: Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Visits can be arranged at other times by calling 304-876-0910 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Calling all knitters, quilters, rugmakers and others! We meet in the Trinity Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall, corner of German and Church streets, every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Work on your own projects while socializing with other crafters. (We also take time out for tea and snacks.)

The Trinity Thrift Shop is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by for some cool finds – clothing for all, jewelry, books, movies, toys, kitchen and other house wares, prints, knick knacks, and holiday items!

The Shop accept accepts donations of clothing, books, jewelry, and many other items. It also collects used eye glasses on behalf of the Lion’s Club. The Thrift Shop cannot accept furniture, other large items and electronics due to limited space.

The Shepherdstown Mysteries Walk continues throughout the summer and into the fall every Friday and Saturday evening. The 90 minute walk starts at dusk and showcases at least 20 stories and legends of the town, retold by researcher, Dana Mitchell. Cost is $12 per person and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The annual fall exhibit featuring abstract art in a variety of forms is opening at The Bridge on Saturday, with a reception from 5-7:30 p.m. The exhibit features paintings by Fran Skiles and Don Black, sculpture by Tom Miller,photography by Thom Davis and these artists will be joined by an assortment of additional abstract painters. A full listing will be available on the gallery’s Facebook page before the opening date.

All aboard for the Annual Community Party at the Station at Shepherdstown! From 6 to 8 p.m., this year’s party is for children of all ages, including anyone who enjoys music, food, fairies, and fun. Independent Fire Company in Ranson will host their 7th annual Fall Sportsman’s Cash and Gun Bash. Doors open at 12 p.m. and raffle begins at 1 p.m. For a $25 donation, entrants receive all you can eat pork barbecue, fried chicken, sidesand drinks. Entry to the raffle is also included.
