Wed. Nov. 23: The Shepherdstown Library will be open from 10 a.m. to noon, so the Threes, Fours, and Fives program will not meet at 11:15 a.m. The Library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday the 25th.

Friday, Nov. 25: The FOSL Book Club will meet in the Library (100 E. German St.) at 5 p.m. to discuss In the Language of Miracles by Rajia Hassib.

The Shepherdstown Museum, at the corner of German and Princess streets, is open on weekends from April through October, on July 4, and during Christmas in Shepherdstown. Public hours are: Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Visits can be arranged at other times by calling 304-876-0910 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Calling all knitters, quilters, rugmakers and others! We meet in the Trinity Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall, corner of German and Church streets, every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Work on your own projects while socializing with other crafters. (We also take time out for tea and snacks.)

The Trinity Thrift Shop is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by for some cool finds – clothing for all, jewelry, books, movies, toys, kitchen and other house wares, prints, knick knacks, and holiday items!

The Shop accept accepts donations of clothing, books, jewelry, and many other items. It also collects used eye glasses on behalf of the Lion’s Club. The Thrift Shop cannot accept furniture, other large items and electronics due to limited space.

The Shepherdstown Mysteries Walk continues throughout the summer and into the fall every Friday and Saturday evening. The 90 minute walk starts at dusk and showcases at least 20 stories and legends of the town, retold by researcher, Dana Mitchell. Cost is $12 per person and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Trinity Treasure Kids Preschool invites the community to a spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m. The dinner will be held in the fellowship hall of Trinity Episcopal Church at the corner of Church and German streets. This year’s dinner will be prepared by Shepherdstown local, Chef Jordan Thompson. You won’t want to miss this meal deal featuring unlimited spaghetti, salad, rolls and drinks for only $7 per adult, $3 kids age 3-11 and kids 2 and under are free. A baked goods table will provide sweet treats for a small donation. Additionally, a silent auction will be held featuring homemade crafts, toys, gift baskets, gift certificates and more.

Anderson Electric LLC is once again conducting a Morgan’s Grove Road cleanup as part of the West Virginia Adopt-a-Highway Statewide fall cleanup from 1 to 3 p.m. Safety vests, gloves and bags will be provided. All volunteers must be over 12 years of age.
