Fri., Mar. 31: The FOSL Book Club will meet in the Shepherdstown Library at 5 p.m. to discuss The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse by Louise Erdrich.

The Library’s popular children’s programs are offered in the Children’s Department through May 24; no registration is required. “Lapbabies” for children birth through 18 months is Tuesdays from 10:15 to 11 a.m. “Time for Twos” meets from 11:15 to noon on Tuesdays. The “Three to Five Year Olds” program is on Wednesdays from 11:15 to noon. The Shepherdstown Museum, at the corner of German and Princess streets, is open on weekends from April through October, on July 4, and during Christmas in Shepherdstown. Public hours are: Saturdays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Visits can be arranged at other times by calling 304-876-0910 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Calling all knitters, quilters, rugmakers and others! We meet in the Trinity Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall, corner of German and Church streets, every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. Work on your own projects while socializing with other crafters. (We also take time out for tea and snacks.)

The Trinity Thrift Shop is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by for some cool finds – clothing for all, jewelry, books, movies, toys, kitchen and other house wares, prints, knick knacks, and holiday items! The Shop accept accepts donations of clothing, books, jewelry, and many other items. It also collects used eye glasses on behalf of the Lion’s Club. The Thrift Shop cannot accept furniture, other large items and electronics due to limited space. Contributions may be delivered to the screened-in back porch at any time. The Jefferson County Community Choir is seeking singers for their spring, Apr. 30 concert. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, March 7, from 7 until 9 p.m. and every subsequent Tuesday. Rehearsals are held in the basement Social Hall at St. James Catholic Church until the concert. There is a $20 membership fee. No audition necessary. The Shepherd University Chamber Singers, Women’s Camerata, and Men’s Choir, with special guests the Frederick Children’s Chorus Chamber Singers conducted by Lee DuBose Fuhr, will present a Spring Choral Concert on Friday, March 31, at 8 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater.

Ranalli-Wiltshire Memorial Concert. Choir and silent auction to benefit the Ranalli-Wiltshire Auditorium Project will be held April 30, 2017 at Harpers Ferry Middle School, 1710 West Washington Street, Harpers Ferry.

Silent auction to begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 3 p.m.

The concert will feature not only the Harpers Ferry Middle School Chorus, but special guests, Paul Michael Cabell, tenor and the Jefferson County Community Choir.

Tickets are $7 in advance, and $10 at the door.

The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County will be having their annual spring Rabies Clinic at Tractor Supply in Charles Town, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Dr. Adrianne Doering, VDM will be vaccinating dogs and cats over 3 months of age. All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. There will be a secure, enclosed area available to safely vaccinate cats. The vaccination cost is $10 for each pet, cash or check. If your pet has been previously vaccinated, you must bring previous Rabies Certificate to receive a three (3) year Vaccination and Certificate. If this is your pet’s first Rabies vaccine or they are overdue, the vaccine will be valid for one year. The Eastern Panhandle Alumnae Chapter (EPAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host its annual Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction at 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, 301 Foxcroft Avenue, Martinsburg. The brunch will feature the Howard Burns Quartet. The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $35, and proceeds from the ticket sales and Silent Auction will fund the Chapter’s scholarship awards and other public service projects. Ticket sales close on Apr. 17, and all sponsorships should be purchased by Apr. 14 in order to be included in the program booklet.
