The winter weather that has moved into the area has caused area schools to close early Tuesday.

Schools in Berkeley County will close two hours early, and all evening school activities are canceled, officials reported. Schools in Jefferson County also will close two hours early, and there will be no pre-kindergarten classes held in the afternoon. All school activities in Jefferson County today are canceled as well.

Schools in Morgan County will close three hours early today. More information will be released as it becomes available.
