Harpers Ferry park to honor black history
In conjunction with Black History Month, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park invites the public to attend the opening of a new exhibit, W.E.B. Du Bois: Architect of the Modern Civil Rights Movement.
The opening and reception will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday on the second floor of the John Brown Museum on Shenandoah Street. The exhibit remembers the life of the founder of the Niagara Movement.
The exhibit will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through February. For more information, call the Park Information Center at (304) 535-6029.
