Thanks to all the generous diners who gathered at the AWOK restaurant in Shepherdstown on Monday, March 16, for the second AWOK fundraiser for Friends in Action of the Eastern Panhandle.

The AWOK restaurant was filled with generous mentor/volunteers and supporters for lunch. Over 50 people enjoyed a delicious Chinese buffet and contributed generously to Friends in Action. Thanks to AWOK for sponsoring this event, to all who attended and to donors who decided to contribute even though they could not attend.

These funds will make it possible for Friends in Action to help another family to move towards self sufficiency.
