Easter parade set for Saturday

The Shepherdstown Easter Parade will take place on German Street in Shepherdstown, Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m.

Families, children, and pets are encouraged to participate in the parade. Prizes will be given for the best Easter hats and bonnets in 10 different categories, such as best family, best bonnets for different age groups, best dog and most innovative.

Sign-up for the parade will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the corner of Church and German streets.

Organizers are announcing the return of the Shepherdstown Road Runnerettes and the Easter Bunny himself, as they twirl down German Street culminating in an Easter Egg Hunt near Shepherd University’s Little House. This Shepherdstown Easter Tradition is sponsored by the Shepherdstown Visitors Center and the Shepherdstown Business Association.
