Help us strengthen families, build community
Friends in Action of the Eastern Panhandle recently held its fourth annual Celebration of Friendship Picnic to commend the accomplishments made by both its low-income families and volunteers working in the program.
An incredible amount of support came from our local businesses including: McDonald’s and Food Lion in Shepherdstown; Martin’s, Food Lion, ALDI, and Walmart in Charles Town; Food Lion in Inwood; and Martin’s in Martinsburg. Their generous contributions fully furnished a picnic for over sixty volunteers, clients, staff, and board for FIAEP, a local non-profit serving Jefferson and Berkeley County. Receiving this kind of support from our local businesses and other organizations is invaluable in cementing our community based efforts to fight poverty in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. On behalf of FIAEP, I would like to extend our thanks to these amazing supporters.
If you would like to learn more about how to become a volunteer mentor with FIAEP, contact our office at (304) 876-8500. Begin today to strengthen families and build community with other Friends in Action.
