DUNBAR, W.Va. – The Jefferson County 10-11 All Stars defeated Fairmont 9 to 0 to advance to the W.Va. State Championship.

Charlie Barnholt went 6 innings striking out seven with tremendous defensive support from the entire team.

Offensively, Jefferson rung up 12 hits: Brody Price had 3 hits, 2 runs scored; Michael Tennant had 2 hits with 2 runs scored; Paul Witt had 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBIs; Mark McKee had 1 hit with 3 RBIs; and Andy Disque slammed a huge three run homer for the team in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Jefferson will play the winner of the Bridgeport/South Charleston game in the championship tomorrow at 5:30 in Dunbar.
