West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin

West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin is expected to travel to Shepherdstown next week to officially dedicate the German Street Streetscape Improvement Project.

Manchin and Mayor Jim Auxer plan a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, near the Public Library. Auxer said he hopes for a large public turnout to mark the official completion of the $1.39 million project, of which $758,000 came from a federal transportation enhancement grant. The balance came from video lottery proceeds.
