Consider volunteering for hospice

Studies have shown that volunteers are happier and healtheir than their counterparts. States that have high volunteer rates have lower mortality rates. States that have high volunteer rates have lower mortality rates. How good it feels to bring a smile to another person and to know that atthe end of the day you have made a difference.

At Hospice of the Panhandle we see the results of people loving people every day. The amount of satisfaction our volunteers receive as they sit by patients’s beds and listen to their stories or hold their hand as they are dying is immeasurable. Hospice volunteers know that at the end-of-life, each moment counts, and the volunteers can help to make those moments meaningful.
