Bob Kutcher, director of Human Resources at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Shepherdstown, ran in the 5k event last Saturday during Freedom’s Run. Along side Kutcher was his grandson Chase Anderson, 7.

Chase was the youngest runner at age 7 as far as Kutcher can tell (outside the designated Kids Race). Kutcher was in the senior category of about 17 runners over 60. He finished 11th among them. Overall, Chase finished 270, Kutcher 271, for the 5k.

Later that day, Chase would tell his mom, “This is the best day of my life.”
