Bulb planters needed Nov. 14

By Staff | Nov 5, 2009

The Shepherdstown Tree Commission has acquired 3,000 daffodil bulbs to be planted in the new planters on German Street. They will bloom in three stages; early, mid and late Spring.

Interested gardeners willing to brave stiff knees meet at Town Hall, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. Please bring a trowel, bulb planter or cordless drill with auger. Knee pads and garden gloves if available. We will be weeding the planters as well. If weather is not cooperative, another date will be set. Look forward to getting our hands dirty together.

The Tree Commission also would like to thank Neal Martineau for his service and commitment to the Commission. We would also like to welcome Bane Schill and know he will be a valued member as well.
