Town Hall closes

for Christmas Party

Town Hall will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, for an employee Christmas party. For more information, call Town Hall at (304) 876-3380.

Snow law in effect

The Corporation of Shepherdstown would like to remind property owners and renters that we have a policy regarding snow accumulation on sidewalks.

Section 11-407 Prohibited accumulation of snow, ice and debris on sidewalks and removal thereof by town at expense of property owners provides that.

“No person shall permit the accumulation of snow or ice upon the sidewalk adjacent to any property owned or occupied by him/her within the town, but shall remove the same within a reasonable time not later than 9 a.m., and 4 p.m., each day that snow or ice accumulates thereon.”

Closings for December

Town Hall will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Trash collection will be done on Thursday, Dec. 24, instead of Friday, Dec. 25.

Free parking

Dec. 16-27

Residential rules remain in effect

In the spirit of the Christmas Holiday, enforcement of parking meters and 90-minute parking will be suspended beginning Dec. 16-27.

Residential parking will continue to be enforced.
