Gary Shepard

Shepherdstown resident Gary Shepard has joined The Shenandoah Valley Group as a financial representative and insurance agent, the company recently announced.

Shepard has been a resident of Shepherdstown since 1994 when he and his family were relocated here by the general contracting company that built the NCTC on Shepherd Grade Road.

With a name like Shepard, Shepherdstown seemed like an obvious place for Shepard and his wife Sue to raise their three children and to go back to school and finish their undergraduate and post graduate degrees.

Shepard works locally as a financial representative and insurance agent with the Shenandoah Valley Group an affiliate of the Mass Mutual Financial Group. Gary and his mentor (and owner of the Shenandoah Valley Group) Dave Barton along with Shepherd University intern Sean Nicewonger and administrative assistant Jessica Udelhofen make up the Shenandoah Valley Group staff.
