The Corporation of Shepherdstown will hold its General Election on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, to fill the offices of Mayor, Recorder and five Council Members.

To be eligible to vote in the General Election you must be properly registered to vote within the municipality of Shepherdstown.

Eligibility requirements to register to vote are as follows: be a U. S. citizen, be a minimum 18 years of age, and not be under conviction of a felony or other disqualification.

Person(s) must register to vote or make changes to their voter registration no later than May 11, 2010, to be eligible to vote in the Corporation of Shepherdstown’s General Election of June 1, 2010.

Voter registration cards may be obtained at the Jefferson County Voter Registration Office.

All voter registration cards must be mailed or hand delivered to the Jefferson County Voter Registration Office at the Jefferson County Courthouse. For more information about registering to vote, please contact the Jefferson County Voter Registration Office at (304) 728-3246.
