Shepherd to hold Phase II meeting

SHEPHERDSTOWN – Shepherd University will sponsor an open meeting for the community to hear a presentation about Phase II of the Center for Contemporary Arts at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies. Architects for Holzman Moss will present the building design. University personnel will be available to answer questions about the project.

Phase II of the Center for Contemporary Arts is slated to be built on Shepherd’s West Campus at the intersection of W.Va. 480, Shepherd Grade Road and West Campus Drive. The second phase of the building, funded by an $11 million state appropriation, will include classroom spaces for sculpture and graphic design, an art gallery and a 200-seat studio theater with support spaces for costume and set design.
