Library event set
The Friends of Shepherdstown Library will present a special living history performance Tuesday.
Chief Cornstalk, portrayed by West Virginia storyteller Dan Cutler, will talk about fighting in the French and Indian War in what is present-day West Virginia. The Shawnee chief was a notorious warrior. He died working for peace among his tribe and English
settlers.
The presentation will take place at O’Hurley’s General Store on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, contact Vicki Smith at (304) 876-1139 or at pvsmith@frontiernet.net.
