Romney endorses Raese for Senate

By Staff | Oct 1, 2010

A former presidential candidate has announced his endorsement of four West Virginia candidates running for United States Congress.

Mitt Romney’s Free and Strong America has committed a total of $12,500 to the individual campaigns of John Raese, candidate for U.S. Senate running against Gov. Joe Manchin (www.raeseforsenate.org); Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, incumbent running for re-election in the 2nd Congressional District (www.shelleymoorecapito.com); Spike Maynard, former state supreme court judge running in the 3rd Congressional District (www.ilikespike.org) and David McKinley, former state representative running in the 1st Congressional District (www.mckinley2010.com).

“West Virginia – and our nation – deserves leaders who will put the people’s interests ahead of the special interests, and focus on getting our economy back on track,” Romney said in a release. “And that is why I am proud to stand with these candidates (today).”

Romney’s Free and Strong PAC supports politicians and candidates wanting to advance policies – social, fiscal and foreign – that will strengthen America.
