Question: The train station that exists today is not the first station that was built in Shepherdstown. When was the original station built?

Answer: The original station (or depot) was built sometime between 1880 and 1884. In fact, inNovember 1884,the station was robbed – its safeblown open by professional thieves – and $60 dollars was stolen
