Becker on Nov. 2 ballot

INWOOD Berkeley County teacher and state Constitution Party Chair Jeff Becker has petitioned and placed himself on the ballot for the U.S. Senate race in November.

Between July 20 and Aug. 23, Becker collected over 1,756 signatures for a ballot access petition and another 1,740 signatures on a filing fee waiver petition from registered voters from around the state.

Becker will run against Gov. Joe Manchin, republican candidate John Raese and Mountain Party candidate Jesse Johnson.

A televised debate, sponsored by the Associated Press and the West Virginia University School of Journalism, is slated for Oct. 18 in Morgantown.
