Certified teachers sought for contest
The West Virginia Department of Education is challenging teachers to create videos that tell others why they love their profession.
The department has partnered with the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation to offer 100 instructional resources, including iPads, wireless pointers, wireless keyboards, thumbdrives and much more.
The contest is open to all certified West Virginia public school educators. Participants can submit a two to three minute video from Nov. 8 to Dec. 6.
Videos will be judged on overall quality, originality, creativity and adherence to the theme. Complete contest rules are available at wvde.state.wv.us/teachwv/contest.html.
