The band called Patent Pending will host a CD release party Nov. 14 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Blue Moon Cafe, 200 East High Street.

Patent Pending will perform live, and admission is free.

“This album is very close to our hearts. It is dedicated to our longtime banjo player, Jim Steptoe who passed away last year. He was still with us when we began selecting and arranging songs for this project and though he couldn’t be with us for the recording,” said Eldrid Hill, lead singer and mandolin player, in a release.
