He is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown and a Paul Harris Fellow and was named the Honorary Lifetime Member of the Shepherd College Alumni Association in 1984.

A historian, storyteller and lecturer, Price was named the media liaison for the town of Shepherdstown during the Shepherdstown Israeli-Syrian Peace Talks in 2000 and was interviewed by a number of media outlets, including National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.”
