DUFFIELDS – The Elk Branch Presbyterian Church will host a Family Christmas Breakfast and Children’s Christmas Party. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 until 10 a.m. Following breakfast, children 3 years and older can stay until 1 p.m. to hear Christmas stories, do crafts and listen to music. The church is located at 5229 Flowing Springs Rd., just north of the MARC Duffields Train Station.
HAGERSTOWN – The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. will host the “2nd Saturday’s Series of Classical Guitar Music with Candice Mowbray” from noon to 1 p.m. at the Gallery, 14 W. Washington St. Admission is free.
BOONSBORO – A Holiday Pottery Sale featuring the work of Allison Severance and Blair Meerfeld will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pottery at Searchwell, 18839 Manor Church Road, Boonsboro, Md. Celebrate food, family and home this holiday season with locally handcrafted pottery by Severance and Meerfeld. SUMMIT POINT – “Icons” by the hand of Patricia Georgarakis is an exhibition and show that will take place at the South Jefferson Public Library. A reception and show will take place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The icons are painted in the tradition of Byzantine art as well as personal exploration into the spirit.

The Christmas Bazaar will again be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the War Memorial Building on German Street. Thirty-Four vendors have freshened-up their displays and eagerly await Christmas shoppers with a wide variety of hand-crafted items. In addition, savory hot food from Captain Benders will be available on the second floor along with Christmas music provided by local recording artist, Terry Tucker.

HAGERSTOWN – The public is invited to try walking meditation in two different labyrinths, which will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hagerstown,13245 Cearfoss Pike. The labyrinth walks are free and suitable for all ages. The indoor labyrinth is a Petite Chartres pattern, a smaller version of the 12th century labyrinth on the floor of the Chartres Cathedral in France. The outdoor labyrinth is the older, Cretan pattern. Walking a labyrinth pattern can help with relaxation, stress relief and even problem solving. HARMONY HEALING ARTS CENTER
A new yoga class, Yoga for Girlz ages 10-14, will help empower young girls to develop a healthier sense of self, better body awareness, and improved wellness. Learn tips for reducing stress and fluid yoga movements with fun music. Instructor Siri McDonald brings experience teaching relaxation and life skills from her day job as a licensed counselor working with youth. She has also been practicing yoga for 10 years and loves to share her passion for movement with people of all ages. McDonald is currently completing Prana Flow yoga teaching certification at Ananda Shala in Frederick, Md. The classes will take place at Harmony Healing Arts Center, 207 East New St., Shepherdstown.
