New hall on track, trees set to be trimmed
Shepherdstown Town Council monthly meeting review:
John Brady, who has been developing the new town hall, reported that the project is on track time- and budget-wise. The stairways are in. He hopes to start putting up dry wall in about two weeks. 85 percent of the electrical work is completed. The roof will be delivered on Dec. 24.
Antietam Tree and Turf has been hired to do tree trimming around the town. The schedule of when which streets will be trimmed will be posted in The Chronicle.
Mayor Jim Auxer wanted to invite all to attend the Family Christmas Caroling, on Sun. Dec. 19 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. It will start at the youth center, 400 W. High St. and circle through downtown, returning to the youth center for games and snacks.
