Agency awarded $3K in grants

CHARLES TOWN – The Arts and Humanities Alliance of Jefferson County was awarded $3,000 in grants in October to two Jefferson County community projects.
The Over The Mountain Studio Tour received a grant to assist in the printing and advertising costs of their recently completed November tour, and the Jefferson County Convention and Visitors Bureau received a grant to assist its Civil War Trails Committee to sponsor maintenance of signs being installed in Jefferson County to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
AHA Community Grant recipients must be residents of or operate from facilities within Jefferson County. Projects must demonstrate positive community impact through the arts and humanities. Grant criteria and other details can be found at www.ahajc.org.
