Bill and Nina Hockman of Shepherdstown are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Shellyn Marie, to Zachary John Stowell, son of Mike and Tina Stowell of Hagerstown.

Miss Hockman is a 2000 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University, where she received a Regent’s Bachelor of Arts degree and a Certification in Radiation Therapy. She is employed as a radiation therapist at the John Marsh Cancer Center in Hagerstown, Md.

Mr. Stowell is a 2001 graduate of North High School in Hagerstown and a 2005 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed in the tower crane division of Shuster Concrete in Ownings Mills, Md.

The wedding ceremony will be held on Sept. 10, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Shepherdstown, followed by the reception at the Springfield Barn in Williamsport, Md.
