Marketing connection group to help business owners
A new group in the Eastern Panhandle will allow small business owners to better understand marketing strategies while networking with others just like them.
Community Marketing Connection is what Roberta Chromey, facilitator of the group, calls a “marketing self-help group.”
CMC, which will have workshops led by Shepherdstown resident and marketing industry professional Susan Benjamin, will involve small groups of people that meet twice a month for six sessions.
“It’s basically a three-month commitment,” Chromey said.
She added, “It’s an intimate setting for people to increase their understanding about marketing and support each other and initiate individual marketing efforts.”
So far, Chromey said she has rounded up four individuals to make up the next group, which she hopes will take place at the beginning of March. She needs two to four more business owners from the region to participate.
Chromey said the group is looking to meet every other Wednesday from noon until 1:30 p.m. in Shepherdstown. The cost for all six sessions is $350. Participants would learn an overview of marketing strategies and how to tailor them for their own use.
Chromey said during the three-month period, Benjamin even tries to meet one-on-one with business owners if they so desire.
“It gets personalized for your own business.”
