The Shepherdstown Rotary Club will hold its annual wine-tasting dinner on Friday, March 18.

The event will be held at the Bavarian Inn starting at 6:30 p.m.

Members of the community are welcome to attend. Admission is $65 per person.

All proceeds will be used to support scholarships for Shepherd University students who are members of Rotary’s auxiliary organization for young adults, Rotaract.

The event, now in its 10th year, includes an elegant multi-course dinner featuring wines carefully chosen to complement each course.

The dinner will be hosted by the Bavarian’s Christian and David Asam, who have developed the Inn’s award-winning wine cellar and who specialize in matching wines and food. After each course, they will provide a brief history of each wine as well as its characteristics. The wines served will be available for purchase by the bottle or case.

Dress for the event will be black tie optional. Special Inn room rates will be available that weekend for those who attend the event. To order tickets, email Tom Trumble at thomasltrum ble@gmail.com.
