Book donated to library
On March 19, Anthony De Capio of the Professional Photographers of West Virginia presented a new book to Hali Taylor at the Shepherdstown Library.
The book entitled “Shepherdstown” is a book of photographs of the area.
“The PPWV is giving something back to the state and local communities for all they have done over the years for PPWV. We are giving one copy of the book to the Shepherdstown Library and another copy to the Shepherdstown Visitors Center,” De Capio said.
The Professional Photographers of West Virginia is a non-profit association, made up of hundreds of photographers throughout the state, that has been in existence for more than 75 years. De Capio, assistant print chairman for PPWV, has been affiliated with the group for the past 30 years.
“The goal of the group is to provide top quality educational opportunities, vital networking and positive public awareness regarding the photographic industry,” he said.
De Capio started his professional photography career in 1985 and has been active in the field of photography at the state and national level. He operates a studio in Weirton, W.Va.
“I believes that with photography, one can capture the beauty, depth, weakness and strength of the human spirit,” he said.
